santa comes to florida too! we arrived in florida on the 22nd - which left us just enough time to finish up some christmas shopping (madness everywhere & know i remember why i don't wait until the last minute to try to get anything), get everything wrapped & decorate the christmas tree. nanny & poppy had a fully decorated house waiting for us when we got here - beautiful lights outside, decor in every room of the house plus a perfect christmas tree plus decorations just waiting to be put on! kennedie did a terrific job (better in fact than she did at home) decorating the tree - well the lower portion anyway :) daddy helped with the rest while mommy placed hooks on all the ornaments.

we celebrated our family christmas on christmas eve morning because we were expecting guests later that day.
nanny & poppy plus lots of other friends & family from canada had presents to be put under the tree, in addition to the couple we had & santa's gifts kennedie had lots & lots of unwrapping to do!!
kennedie loved unwrapping once again. she'd unwrap or open a bag or a stocking (she had 2) and just grab what was inside & toss it out onto the floor & look for more - if there was more, the repeated, if not she opened another gift. occasionally, for the really special gifts - her cabbage patch doll from santa, her lap desk kit & her mini-mouse jewelry box - she'd want it opened up & play with it for a bit before she decided to continue opening. the whole process took about 2 1/2 hours, with a breakfast break somewhere in the middle :) the only thing that could have made the day better would have been to have nanny & poppy here with us instead of on skype - but we'll take what we can get!
