still playing catch up from my blogging confusion...
one of our holiday traditions is going out to find & cut down our very own 'perfect' christmas tree! it's a lot of fun (i think anyway) and i love the family time together, outdoors in the snow. the last of which there wasn't all that much of this year - we drove up the road we hiked up last year - but the weather was beautiful! we found a place to park and set out on foot - kennedie got to ride in the sled until she decided she wanted to get out & explore too!
it didn't take us too long to find it! kennedie helped daddy cut it down, then we got to pose by the tree. daddy hauled it down the mountain for us - he's so strong!
we got the tree put up & lit while kennedie took a nap. when she woke up, she was ready to decorate the tree! she hung ornaments high & low...until she found a light up snowman snow-globe that changed colors - then the decorating was left up to mommy while she played :) she did however want to put some candy canes on as a finishing touch!
shortly after decorating we were off to the parade in eagle. kennedie had a hot chocolate while she waited patiently for the parade to start! she loved seeing all of the kids, floats & lights...and of course santa - roll down the street! it was a great end to a perfect day!
